He is regularly invited to speak to aspiring gardeners within Virginia’s Master Gardeners Certification Program.
In addition to his role as President, Dreux spent nearly a decade teaching vocational horticulture classes at Nandua High School, where the curriculum included nursery production, greenhouse crop production, turf management, and floral arrangement. Prior to founding Hortco he worked for Byrd Foods, Inc., overseeing a 60-acre peach orchard, and began his career in Florida with Ralston Purina where he managed a 20-acre hydroponic greenhouse operation.
Dreux received a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture from the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University. He and his wife Catherine live in Accomac and have three daughters.
